Acknowledgement
Government Funding agencies – Nga Whenua Rahui (NWR) is a contestable fund aimed at facilitating protection of indigenous fauna & flora on Maori land. NWR have put a considerable amount of resources into Waimarie as a guide to be self sufficient in the future.. One of direction mentioned by Mike Mohi, was to gear the nursery project towards a commercial outlook and supply agencies with native plants under contract. Local councils have also provided funding to Waimarie in the past to help reach our full potential.
