Moera O'Leary
Waimarie Nurseries assisted this project by providing around 6000 plants for wetland areas on her land. The purpose of this project was to provide plants for the restoration of the Poroti Springs and various water ways that feed in to the main wetlands adjacent to poroti springs.
This is part of the balance of stream life. Tapahina stream feeds into Waipao stream which borders on to Moera's property this is to be planted out for restoration of Tapahina and filter as a buffer for surface water & fertilizers before reaching the main stream.
